  • A complimentary basic diagnostic is done before commencement with a laptop hinge repair, iPad glass repair, etc. 
  • For a device or loose PCB with an open-ended fault, an up-front diagnostic fee is required. T's & C's apply!
  • For a device that can turn on, all faults are confirmed before an estimate can be issued
  • For a device that does not turn on, if an estimate is issued it is to restore power only. T's and C's apply!
  • A team of experts are at hand to diagnose and repair your faulty electronic device or PCB as efficiently as possible.
  • Only OEM or Grade A manufacturer-compatible spares are installed or soldered in all repairs completed here.
  • Micro Fix does not hold devices longer than 30 days after service. Once 30 days have lapsed, then a device is deemed abandoned.
  • Micro Fix is a cashless entity. Payment can be made via EFT, debit/credit card or you can tap with your smartphone.

The turnaround time will vary. We diagnose devices in the order that they're booked in with us. Once a quote is approved and parts are ordered, devices are repaired on a 1st in, 1st out basis - meaning once the spares have arrived from the supplier, the first device in the queue whose spares have arrived will have the work order completed.

Cracks, chips, dents or clearly burned components on the surface of the PCB itself. Can also be subtle signs such as corrosion, discoloration or moisture damage. Keep an eye out for greenish or white deposits surrounding components or traces.

The total repair cost varies. For us to troubleshoot a single PCB, a fault analysis fee is due on the day it is booked in with us. Labour and materials are listed in the repair quote provided after our assessment. A PCB repair starts @ R1690

We do not diagnose/repair home or car audio equipment; desktop PC's (and their peripherals); external AC adapters; garage or gate remotes; two way radio's; TV's; kitchen or other home appliances; auto electrical; and a plethora of other electronics which fall outside of the specific consumer or industrial electronics that we do work on

No. We do not offer any on-site repair services. Clients must bring in or ship in an electronic device that requires diagnosis and repair.

Micro Fix offers 3 levels of maintenance (repair) to our clients as defined below:

  • Level 1 - The first level maintenance corresponds to the simple interventions, necessary & realized on easily accessible elements. These operations do not require the dismantling of the equipment (e.g. operating system re-installation without user data)
  • Level 2 - The second level maintenance corresponds to the less complex interventions. The replacement of parts during these operations do not require the global dismantling of the equipment concerned (e.g. replacing the Blu-Ray laser of a game console)
  • Level 3 - The third level maintenance corresponds to interventions considered as complex. These operations include diagnosis and identification of a more intricate failure of the equipment concerned (e.g. iPhone not turning on)
  • Level 4 & 5 maintenance are either not required for repair of common faults of the electronics booked in by our client's (and would in most cases be deemed BER for the general public) or are reserved for devices that need refurbishment for resale
